Jo’s coaching has inspired me to start taking action and to make changes in my life. After just a few sessions, I am feeling far more positive and excited about a future beyond the classroom. Talking to Jo is a real tonic; she is always calm, cheerful and encouraging. We achieve so much in each session and I come away with lots of ideas for practical steps to take straight away. She has helped me understand my ‘value’, beyond just being a teacher. I have so many ideas I now want to explore.

I came into coaching as I was torn between staying in teaching and leaving to work full-time on the baby class franchise I had purchased. I was being pulled in numerous directions which was leaving me feeling tired, confused and unable to get the head-space to make any decisions. I feel immeasurably more positive about the future. I have already gained an insight into what my ‘problem’ areas are, have changed some behaviours and have clarity about my future path. I have chosen to stay in teaching AND build my business but on my terms and at my pace. It’s been revelatory so far and I’m looking forward to our next session and to the future.

I had been signed off by the doctor with ‘work related stress.’ I searched for a counsellor to work with during this difficult time. However, I struggled to find one that I could relate to...until I found Jo! I started to understand the emotional grief I was going through, and also to connect with others who were struggling with similar issues. It’s been so good communicating with someone who has experience within the system, who understands the challenges and constraints. Her coaching and mentoring skills are supportive, challenging in the right places and also very motivating. I have been supported on my journey through burnout; towards moving forwards, making informed rational decisions and taking action to support me onto the next adventures!

Teaching is, without a doubt, one of the most stressful professions out there. Since I have started coaching with Joanne, I wonder how I have managed such a stressful profession without this sort of guidance for so long. She creates a safe space for me to reflect and tap into my intuition. Joanne’s experience in the Education sector means she has accrued the wisdom to create a bespoke coaching service for teachers: she is particularly skilled at identifying typical self-sabotaging ‘teacher’ mindsets. When she shines a light on these, it leads me to a more aligned trajectory. Every teacher deserves a coach like this.
